Francois Walker

Head teacher

Francois has been at Whiteknights Primary School for five years, and in that time has transformed the school into one of the best primary schools in Berkshire.

The ethos of Whiteknights is that we nurture each individual and help them to grow in greatness. We aim to provide outstanding educational opportunities that develop happy, confident pupils who have the skills to be successful lifelong learners, and are able to fulfil their ambitions.
We will do this by:

  • Maintaining a focus on attaining high standards at the heart of all that we do;
  • Providing pupils with quality experiences and opportunities;
  • Providing outstanding leadership, including governance.

Emma Connor

English Hub Leader

Emma has worked at Whiteknights for 4 years as an Assistant Headteacher, teaching in Early Years and Key Stage 1. She lead the Read Write Inc programme for several years and successfully opened a Nursery to expand our Early Years. Emma has over thirteen years’ experience of studying, teaching and leading Early Years and phonics teaching. She is also an SLE for Early Years and other areas and has completed her NPQML.

Emma will be:

  • Leading the development of the English Hub alongside several other English Specialist Teachers;
  • Co-ordinating the provision of Specialist Leaders of Education in schools that require and request our support;
  • And offering intensive support in selected schools.

Bryant A

Annette Bryant

English Hub Assistant Leader

Annette has worked at Whiteknights for 8 years as an Early Years and Key Stage 1 teacher. She led the Read Write Inc programme for several years and the school was awarded Model School Status.

She will be:

  • Running showcase events aimed at KS1 and Reception teachers;
  • Offering intensive support in selected schools.
